Lesson-12- Past Tense (भूत काल)

ToLesson is 12th Lesson. All the four types Present Tense and Past Indefinite Tense are now known to you. You have also gone through the DTDE lessons and attended their Quiz.

Trust that you would have come to know that understanding and speaking English is not very difficult. If you have started speaking simple English sentences, it it very good. But if you have not yet started, please DO NOT BOTHER. Continue learning upcoming lessons with great determination and soon you will also start. Please read the following sentences again & again and achieve rhythm. While reading please recollect the rules of making sentences in your mind and verify whether sentences are framed exactly as per the rules or not. You will find few sentences, rules of which are yet not covered in the previous lessons. Please read them and try to understand. When you will go through the lessons of such sentences, you will become comfortable in making that type of sentences also.

फिर और फिर निम्नलिखित वाक्यों को पढ़ने और लय हासिल करें. पढ़ते समय आपके दिमाग में वाक्य बनाने के नियमों को याद और वाक्य नियमों के अनुसार है या नहीं के रूप में बिल्कुल तैयार कर रहे हैं कि क्या यह सत्यापित करें. आप कुछ वाक्य, नियम, जिनमें से अभी तक पिछले सबक में कवर नहीं कर रहे हैं. उन्हें पढ़ने और समझने की कोशिश करो. आप इस तरह के वाक्यों का सबक के माध्यम से जान जायेंगे, जब आप भी वाक्य के उस प्रकार बनाने में सहज हो जायेंगे.

वाक्य Sentence
वह सुबह से चककर मरम्मत कर रहा था. He had been repairing the car since morning.
सुध्या पिछले कई दिनों से नृत्य का रियाज़ नहीं कर रही थी. Sudha had not been practicing dance for the last many Lessons.
सुरेश पिछले दो साल से एक ही कंपनी मैं काम कर रहा था. Suresh had been working in the same company for the last two years.
क्या वर्तिका सुबह से रो रही थी? Had Vartika been weeping since morning
क्या रमेश तुम्हारे फ़ोन का कल से इंतज़ार कर रहा था? Had Ramesh been waiting for your phone since yesterLesson?
बच्चे कल शाम से नहीं पढ़ रहे थे. Children had not been studying since yesterLesson evening.
अवयन एक घंटे से गइल बेलीज़ की रिम्स देख रहा था. Avyan had been watching rhymes of giggle bellies for an hour.
क्या कनिका बचपन से क्लासिकल डांस सीख रही थी? Had Kanika been learning classical dance since childhood?
क्या पापाजी 3 बजाय से मैच नहीं देख रहे थे? Had Papaji not been watching match since 3 o'clock?
काफी समय से हम तुम्हारे व्यवहार का निरिक्षण कर रहे थे. We had been observing your behavior for a long time.
पिताजी की जॉब की वाह्य से हम दस सालों से पटना मैं ही रह रहे थे. We had been living in Patna for ten years because of papaji's job.
हम सुबह से ममीज़ी के लिये सरप्राइज पार्टी की तैयारी कर रहे थे. We had been preparing for a surprise party for mummyji since morning.
रमेश कल से मुझे अपने साथ आगरा जाने के लिये ज़िद कर रहा था. Ramesh had been insisting me to go with him to Agra since yesterLesson.
मकर संक्रांति के दिन वर्तिका और कनिका सुबह से पतंग उड़ा रही थी. Vartika and Kanika had been flying kites since morning on the Lesson of Makar Sankranti.
पिछले साल जब मैं अपनी बहन के घर पहुंचा, वह शिखण्ड बना रही थी. Last year when I reached my sister's home, she was making shikhand (a sweet recipe)
बरसात आने से पहले हमने मकान शिफ्ट कर लिया था. We had shifted our home before it rained.
कोर्ट मैं उपस्थित होने से पहले, वह बहुत खुश था. He was very happy before he appeared in court.
प्रिंस के राजा बनने से पहले, सेना ने विद्रोह कर दिया था. Army had revolted before prince became king.
मंजुला के उठने से पहले, पूणाक नाश्ता बना चुकी थी. Poonam had prepared break-fast before Manjula awoke.
मेरा नंबर आने से पहले,वह साड़ी चॉकलेट बाँट चुकी थी. She had distributed all the chocolates before my number came.
जब रमेश आया, अवयन सो रहा था. Avyan was sleeping when Ramesh came.
पुलिस के वहां पहुंचने से पहले, चोर भाग गये. Thieves ran away before police reached there.
पेट्रोल की कीमत बढ़ने से पहले, सीएनजी की कीमत बढ़ गयी. Price of CNG increased before petrol price hiked.
जब डायरेक्टर्स मीटिंग मैं पहुंचे, लोग वीडियो गेम खेल रहे थे. People were playing video game when Directors reached in the meeting.

कल सुबह 5 बजाय मैं मॉर्निंग वाक के लिये जा रहा था और मातादीन उस समय अपने ऑफिस जा रही थी. I was going for a walk yesterLesson at 5 o'clock in the morning and Matadin was going to her office at that time.
अब मेरे लिये इतनी जल्दी ऑफिस जाना बहुत मुश्किल है. Now it is very difficult for me to go office so early.
सुबह की शिफ्ट के लिये लोगो को घर से जल्दी निकलना पड़ता है. People have to leave their homes early for morning shift.
यह सर्दियों मैं बहुत मुश्किल है. It is very difficult during winter.
मुझे याद है जब मुझे सर्दियों मैं सुबह जल्दी ऑफिस जाना पड़ता था. I remember when I was to go office early in the morning during winters.
मेरे पास केवल स्कूटर था. I had only scooter.
ऑफिस जाने से पहले, मैं अपने आप को ऊपर से नीचे तक धक लेता था. Before leaving for office, I used to pack myself from top to bottom.
स्कूटर चलाते वक़्त, ठंडी हवा सीधे बदन से टकराती है. While driving scooter, cold waves directly hit the body.
हाथ और मूह कुछ समय के लिये एकदम सुन्न हो जाते है. Hands and face used to become senseless for a while.
मेरे ऑफिस मैं सुरक्षा करने के कारण हीटर भी नहीं था. My office building was also not having heaters because of safety reasons.
उस समय चाय भी नहीं मिलती थी. Tea was also not available at that time.
और ड्यूटी रेलवे वैगंस खाली करने का निरिक्षण करने की थी और मुझे बाहर खुले मैं रहना पड़ता था. Moreover, the duty was to monitor decantation of railway wagons and I had to remain in open field.
सर्दियों मैं, कभी कभी ठंडी हवाय इतनी ठंडी होती है की खुले मैं काम करना बहुत मुश्किल हो जाता है. During winter, sometimes cold waves are very cold and it becomes very difficult to work in open.
उस सर्दी मैं कर्मचारियों को होस पाइप एक सिरे से दूसरे सिरे तक खीचने का शारीरिक काम करना पड़ता था. Workers had to perform physical job of dragging big hosepipes from one end to another during that winter.
मैने देखा की कर्मचारी काम करते वक़्त जोर-जोर से हंसा और शोर मछाया करते थे. I noticed that the workers used to laugh loudly and make lot of noises while working.
बाद मैं मुझे मालूम हुआ की जोर से हंसना और शोर मचाना उन्हे ताकत इकट्ठी करने मैं मदद करता है. Later I came to know that laughing loudly and making noise help them to gather strength.
हर कोई छाय का, खासतौर पर सर्दियों मैं, बेस सबरी से इंतज़ार किया करता था Everybody used to wait anxiously for hot tea particularly during winter Lessons.
वह कार्य बहुत कठिन था परन्तु उसने मुझे शारीरिक तौर पर मजबूत बनाया. That assignment was very tough but it made me physically strong.
कठिन समय शुरू मैं या अपने पूरे दौर मैं काफी कठिन लगता है परन्तु यह आपकी शारीरिक और मानसिक ताकत को बढ़ा कर इनाम देता है. Tough time initially or throughout its phase, feels very tough but it rewards by increasing your mental and physical strengths.
यह अच्छा है की कठिन समय को भी ख़ुशी से जिया जाय क्योंकि यहाँ हमेशा नहीं रहने वाला है. It is better to enjoy tough time also as it is not going to remain forever.
मुझे इसके बारे मैं अपनी आत्मकथा मैं लिखना है. I am going to write about this in my autobiography.
जिंदगी एक खुला स्कूल है. Life is an open school.
हमे अपने आप सीखना है. We are to learn ourselves.
माता-पिता और सच्चे शुभ चिंतको के अलावा हमारी जिंदगी मैं सीखने के महत्वपूर्ण पहलूओं/बातो को बताने वाला कोई नहीं है. There is none, except parents and real well wishers to highlight important aspects to learn in our life.
वहां हमारी सीख (जो सीख चुके) को जांचने वाला कोई टीचर नहीं है. There are no teachers to assess our learning.
केवल समय और हमारा व्यक्तित्व बताता है की हमने जिंदगी के खुले स्कूल मैं क्या सीखा. Only time and our personality tell what we have learnt in the open school of life.
तुम्हारा भविष्य का व्यक्तित्व, तुम्हारी जिंदगी के स्कूल मैं सीखने की क्षमता से घड़ा (आकृति/शेप लेना) जाता है. Your future personality is shaped by your learning capability in the life school.
सच्चाई है की आम आदमी लगभग सबकुछ गंवाने के बाद इसके बारे मैं एहसास/जानता करता है. The fact is that common people realize about this after losing almost everything.
जिंदगी के स्कूल मैं अच्छा स्टूडेंट होना, सलाह योग्य है. It is advisable to be a good student in the school of life.
अगस्त त्योहारो का महीना है. August is a month of festivals.
रक्षा बंधन भाई और बहन का त्यौहार है. Raksha Bandhan is a festival of brother & sister.
बहने भाइयो की कलाई पर राखी बांधती है. Sisters tie Rakhi on the hands of their brothers.
भाई, बदले मैं, अपनी बहनो को उपहार देते है. Brothers, in return, give gifts to their sisters.
सरकार भी रक्षा बंधन के दिन लेडीज के लिये बसो मैं मुफ्त सफर की इजाजत देती है. Government also allows free travel in buses for ladies on the Lesson of Raksha Bandhan.
मुझे त्यौहार पसंद है. I love festivals.
त्यौहार परिवारो को जोड़े रखते है. Festivals keep families united.
