Quote of the Lesson (दिन के उद्धरण)

“It was a high counsel that I once heard given to a young person, "Always do what you are afraid to do."”

    “एक बार एक युवक को एक अच्छी सलाह प्राप्त करते हुए मैंने सुना था कि, "हमेशा वह कार्य करो जिसको करने से आप ड़रते हैं।"”

“If you do not hope, you will not find what is beyond your hopes.”

    “यदि आप आशा नहीं करते हैं तो आपको इस बात का पता नहीं लगेगा कि आपकी आशाओं से परे क्या है।”

“The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible.”

    “संभावनाओं की सीमाओं का पता लगाने का एकमात्र रास्ता है कि उनसे आगे बढ़कर असंभव तक पहुंचा जाए।”

“This is the best Lesson the world has ever seen.”

    “दुनिया में आज का दिन सर्वोत्कृष्ट दिन है।”

“The real secret of happiness is simply this: to be willing to live and let live, and to know very clearly in one's own mind that the unpardonable sin is to be an unpleasant person.”

    “खुशी का वास्तविक रहस्य निम्नलिखित है: जीवन जीने और जीने देने का उत्साह, तथा अपने मन में यह स्पष्ट आभास कि झगड़ालू व्यक्ति होना एक अक्षम्य अपराध है।”

“If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment.”

    “यदि आप किसी बाह्य कारण से परेशान हैं, तो परेशानी उस कारण से नहीं, अपितु आपके द्वारा उसका अनुमान लगाने से होती है, और आपके पास इसे किसी भी क्षण बदलने का सामर्थ्य है।”

Technical word (तकनीकी शब्द)

QR code
A QR code (quick response code) is a type of 2D bar code that is used to provide easy access to information through a smartphone.

Quad
A quad (pronounced KWAHD) is a unit in a set of something that comes in four units. The term is sometimes used to describe each of the four numbers that constitute an Internet Protocol (IP) address. Thus, an Internet address in its numeric form (which is also sometimes called a dot address) consists of four quads separated by "dots" (periods).

Quad gate
A quad gate is an IC (integrated circuit or chip) containing four logic gates. The gates can be of any type: AND, OR, XOR, NOT, NAND, NOR, and XNOR. Within any given quad gate, all four of the individual gates are normally of the same type.

A logic gate is an elementary building block of a digital circuit. Most logic gates have two inputs and one output. At any given moment, every terminal is in one of the two binary conditions low (0) or high (1), represented by different voltages. Quad gates can be used in various applications including

Flip flops,   Digital switches ,;  Complex Boolean functions,   Voltage-controlled oscillators   Waveform generators,   Buffers,

Quad tree
A quad tree is a method of placing and locating files (called records or keys) in a database. The algorithm finds data by repeatedly dividing the number of ultimately accessible records in four parts until only one remains.

In a tree, records are stored in locations called leaves. This name derives from the fact that records always exist at end points; there is nothing beyond them. Branch points are called nodes. The order of a tree is the number of branches (called children) per node. In a quad tree, there are always four children per node, so the order is 4. The number of leaves in a quad tree is always a power of 4. The number of access operations required to reach the desired record is called the depth of the tree. The image below shows a quad tree of depth 3.

Router
A computer or software package that handles the connection between 2 or more networks. Routers spend all their time looking at the destination addresses of the packets passing through them to decide which route to send them on.

Race condition
A race condition is an undesirable situation that occurs when a device or system attempts to perform two or more operations at the same time, but because of the nature of the device or system, the operations must be done in the proper sequence in order to be done correctly.

In computer memory or storage, a race condition may occur if commands to read and write a large amount of data are received at almost the same instant, and the machine attempts to overwrite some or all of the old data while that old data is still being read. The result may be one or more of the following: a computer crash, an "illegal operation," notification and shutdown of the program, errors reading the old data, or errors writing the new data. This can be prevented by serialization of memory or storage access, such that if read and write commands are received close together, the read command is executed and completed first, by default.

Radiation shield
In mobile phones, a radiation shield is an accessory that serves to decrease the amount of radio frequency ( RF ) energy being absorbed by a mobile phone user. Mobile phones are wireless communications devices that use frequencies in the microwave band. Microwave energy can be absorbed by water and converted to heat energy.

There is growing concern, especially in Europe, about the potential for harm arising out of the effects of the absorbtion of mobile phone microwave radiation in the brain of the user. In particular, both the use of unidirectional aerials and their very close proximity with the cranium have been identified as special risks. It is suggested that a significant proportion (perhaps 40%) of the output of unidirectional aerials is absorbed by the head of the user; and that energy is concentrated around the aerial, which tends to be bare millimeters from the brain.

RSNA
Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) is a society of radiologists and similar health scientists that seeks to encourage connections between colleagues and provide scientists with a platform for radiology education and research.

The RSNA runs an annual scientific meeting and tradeshow every winter that publicizes new research and advances in the field of radiological technology. Many of the technologies and vendor partnerships unveiled at these shows have to do with mobile and electronic healthcare. These include GE Healthcare's Centricity OneView, software that integrates medical applications, or the partnership that uses the LifeImage Inc. Web services to send radiology images from physicians to the Microsoft HealthVault personal health record (PHR) service.

Random access memory
RAM (random access memory) is the place in a computer where the operating system, application programs, and data in current use are kept so that they can be quickly reached by the computer's processor. RAM is much faster to read from and write to than the other kinds of storage in a computer, the hard disk, floppy disk, and CD-ROM. However, the data in RAM stays there only as long as your computer is running. When you turn the computer off, RAM loses its data. When you turn your computer on again, your operating system and other files are once again loaded into RAM, usually from your hard disk.

Much Many

‘Much’ and ‘many’ are both determiners that suggest an unspecified quantity, with more or less the same basic meaning: ‘in great quantity’ or ‘in large number’. There is, however, a distinction in their usage.

‘Much’, not ‘many’, is used for uncountable nouns, which are in singular form.

I don't have much faith in him.

Here, 'faith' is an uncountable noun and hence, we use 'much' instead of 'many'.

How much money do you have in your wallet?

In this example, 'money' is an uncountable noun and hence, we use 'much'. Note that 'dollars' or 'rupees' are countable as we say 'ten dollars' or 'ten rupees'.

There was much compassion in his voice.

Here, compassion is an uncountable noun and so we use 'much' and not 'many'

On the other hand, ‘many’ is used for countable nouns, which are in plural form, and here ‘much’ cannot be used.

Many youngsters toLesson are taking to atheism.

'Youngster' is a countable noun and hence, we use 'many'.

How many Lessons remain?

In this example, 'Lesson' is a countable noun.

There are many obstructions ahead for us.

Here, 'Obstruction' is a countable noun and this means that we have to use 'many' and not 'much'.

Use Advanced Spoonerisms

A much more complicated version of spoonerism includes multiple words. For example, "cook," "book," "case," and "base" can be intertwined in amazing ways that take true mental agility and quickness to accomplish on the fly. Most people study rhyming words extensively and look for relationships between them in order to be effective at this sort of linguistic gymnastics and employ them mainly in the written word.

Use Online Sources for Rhyming Words

Rhymer and Rhymezone are a couple of excellent resources to find rhyming words. Both are good for finding words that rhyme with any word you can imagine and each one provides unique, interesting angles on different ways of rhyming. However, the Internet is full of these kinds of resources, so tracking down a site that fits your specific wants and needs should not be a problem.

Remember the Unintentional Spoonerism

For all the work you can put into creating your own spoonerisms, know that many examples are unintentional, as the mind trips over itself while creating speech. Some people are more prone to it, like the man after which it was named, Reverend William Archibald Spooner, who continually entertained his late 19th century Oxford University classes with his (probably) unintentional syllable/sound switching. However, Spooner's tendency may have been overblown by people using his name and reputation to create spurious spoonerisms that forwarded their own ideas and agendas. For example, one of the most famous spoonerisms attributed to Spooner was one about then-Queen Victoria, "Three cheers for our queer old dean!" that translates to "Three cheers for our dear old queen!"

Whether intentional or unintentional, spoonerisms are a deep source of entertainment for anyone with the ability to speak, write, or read. The above tips and examples can be used to create spoonerisms. From the simple switching of beginning sounds of corresponding words to the highly advanced ability to create complicated spoonerisms with multiple, overlapping rhyming words, anyone can play along. Your ability to create spoonerisms all comes down to how much work and research you want to put in and how focused you can be in your use of language on a moment-to-moment basis.
